Start with the cycle stage
Front-load washers can stop during filling, washing, draining or spinning. A door that will not unlock is not necessarily the same fault as a washer that leaves clothes wet. Note the stage, sound and display before choosing a model guide.
Check only accessible owner-maintenance items
The filter, door seal and detergent drawer differ across manufacturers. Follow the correct manual for any cleaning or emergency-drain step, and place towels where water release is expected. Never force the door, defeat its lock or open an electrical panel.
Use the full model number and region to confirm the correct instructions before restarting the programme.
Door problems need a careful approach
A front-load washer may keep its door locked while water remains inside or while a programme is still active. Do not force the latch to reach wet clothes. Check the owner’s manual for the exact model before attempting an emergency release or drain procedure. A photograph of the panel can help when two machines have similar model names but different control buttons.
